Activity 1

After listening to the story of the magic paintbrush, think what would you draw for your family with a magic paintbrush. Draw what you would paint and write a sentence underneath to describe each painting. 

Activity 2

 Shen paints a horse and a key to escape from the Emperor's prison cell.

How would you escape if you were Shen ?

Draw what you would paint to help you escape and write a descriptive paragraph describing how you escaped; You might like to describe your escape in a diary entry. 

Remember to write in the first person, in the past tense and lots of description to add interest. 

Activity 3

To finally stop the Emperor and his army Shen paints a dragon. 

What creature would you have painted to stop the Emperor and his army ?

Draw a picture of your Emperor stopping creature and write a description remembering to include figurative language; make your description as interesting as you can for the reader using metaphors and similes to describe. 

Don't forget to send photos/videos of any of your learning to us and to complete your passport.
