Morning Maple,

I hope you enjoyed getting out in the snow and exploring yesterday. Hopefully, you have written a few sentences and maybe taken a photograph or drawn a picture! 

Today, I would like you to practise some number work for me please. 

Y1s- practise counting and writing your numbers correctly to 50. Try starting at different points and challenge yourself to count backwards. Double check you have written your numbers the right way round. Can you create some number tracks to fill in. 

Y2's- practise the 2, 5 and 10 times tables please. There are some great songs on Youtube that you could listen to. Can your family test you? Challenge yourself to learn one of the tables off by heart by Monday. If you feel confident, have a go at dividing by 2 and 5. Use your knowledge of grouping and sharing. 

Please read your e- book and home reading book with an adult. Share a story with a family member and discuss it. Can you write a couple of sentences describing a character in a book you have enjoyed. What do they look like? Are they kind, grumpy, scary, tidy, naughty? What does their voice sound like? Where do they live? Use your phonics to sound out words and have a go at spelling independently.
