Final Farewell Year 6

Well what a year! It has been so lovely to see so many of you return for the final half term! I know that you have worked hard and tried your best, that is all we can ask for in the current climate. You have kept me entertained this year with your jokes and stories. I would like to wish you all the best for the future as you leave us and move to the next chapter of your education.

As an act of kindness, I have not put an overview of learning for your last week! However, take a look in the resources folder for some 10/11 year old fun and games that you can have a go at over the summer break. If you would like to keep your learning ticking along continue to use some of the resources posted on our class page and any CGP books that you have not completed. Most importantly, make sure that you rest, have fun and spend quality time with your family and friends.

A note for Parents/Carers

The leavers service will take place between 2-3pm on Thursday 16th July which will be the last day for Year 6. They will need to come in their uniform on this day but bring a change of clothes for later. Songs will be sung, poems and memories will be shared followed by the Far Forest tradition of ringing the bell. You will be allowed in the hall one at a time with your child to watch them ring the bell and take a photo. There will also be a powerpoint that you can watch which Logan has put together. Once all children have rung the bell, the children will be taken inside to get changed and parents will leave the site.

Remember only one person from each household can attend (no siblings) this is to minimise the number of people on the premises and to ensure that a safe 1 metre distance can be adhered to. Our priority will be the safety of our pupils and staff.

3-5pm- Socially distanced fun and games. Your child will be able to change from their uniform into more casual wear after the leavers service. They will then be treated to fish and chips for their tea. Parents/carers can collect children from the orchard path where a member of staff will meet you.

We look forward to celebrating their time at Far Forest Primary School on Thursday. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email me or phone the school.

Many thanks for your support and co-operation smiley
