Friday 20th March
This morning we have focussed our learning on the solar eclipse. We used models to show what an eclipse is and why it happens. We watched the BBC live broadcast and learned a lot more about how to look at eclipses safely, the different times that it was happening and how video footage and photographic images were being collected. We were amazed that there was an aeroplane flying in the sky filming the total eclipse in the Faroe Isles.
We have been completing some independent writing based on our experiences. Some have written diaries, others made information posters and some people have been inspired to write letters to Dr Brian Cox. What a fantastic morning Cherry Class – GREAT WORK!
